Initially imagined for the new French high-speed trains, the TGV Lamp was designed by Ionna Vautrin at the request of the SNCF (French national railway company). It is the first object based on a French train to be produced for the general public.
This wired luminaire combines sleek curves and geometric rationality with perfect stability. The comfortable luminosity and simple design of the TGV Lamp make it a conniving object around which every individual is invited to settle.
Made from die-cast aluminium using industrial tooling developed for the new TGVs, this domestic version of the Lamp is identical to those around which you sit during your journey. In addition to the original train colors (red and blue), it also comes in khaki, white and Charcoal grey.
Lamp comes with cable for mains connection.
