Bela Silva: Ceramics as a Medium of Expression

Born in Lisbon, Bela Silva studied in Portugal, the United Kingdom, and the United States before developing an artistic practice deeply rooted in Ceramic. Her journey has taken her to several countries, and her works have been exhibited alongside those of Andy Warhol. She now divides her time between Brussels and Lisbon, where Ceramic remains at the heart of her work.

A sculpted base, where relief meets material

Bela Silva works with sandstone as a surface in motion, bringing out pronounced reliefs, hollows, and irregularities that break with the perfection of an industrial form.
