Álvaro Siza designed the Lorosae Pendant in 1999 for his solo exhibition at the Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza. The slightly translucent Coloured glass has a glossy, velvety finish. The Mat white finish inside the Lampshade preserves the natural color of the light, providing optimum illumination. The geometric simplicity of the design is enhanced by a palette of bold colors.
Inspired by the vocabulary of Le Corbusier and, above all, Alvar Aalto, Álvaro Siza's designs are quietly self-evident, fitting naturally into the landscape.
