Description
Fermob Luxembourg Bridge armchair, Parisian elegance at the table.
Born in the heart of the capital's gardens, the Fermob Luxembourg collection brings the same conviviality to your outdoor settings as the wide avenues of the Luxembourg Gardens. Heir to the legendary Sénat chair created in 1923 for the Jardin du Luxembourg, it transforms terrace or balcony into a veritable Parisian scene, welcoming and timeless. In its Bridge version, the seat gains in presence and comfort, ideal for sharing a meal in the sun or extending an aperitif.
Revisited heritage, refined design
In 2004, the French company Fermob was chosen to redesign the legendary Sénat Chair, created in 1923 by the workshops of the City of Paris. This chair, used in prestigious Parisian landmarks such as the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Tuileries and the Palais Royal, is one of the symbols of Paris, along with Haussmann newsstands and Morris columns. Fermob entrusted designer Frédéric Sofia with the task of modernizing it. He reinvented the icon to create a chair that was revised from top to bottom, more welcoming, more generous and designed for everyday comfort. Renamed Luxembourg, this reinterpretation gave rise to an entire collection of outdoor furniture, designed to bring this Parisian spirit into private gardens.
Wrap-around Armrests, instant comfort
The Luxembourg Bridge armchair can be recognized by its airy lines and straight backrest, which naturally supports the posture. The integrated armrests invite you to settle in for a long time, while the curved slats hug the body with surprising softness for a lacquered metal.
A light look for any outdoor setting
Around a garden table, on a city balcony or as a complement to an outdoor lounge, it creates an elegant, rhythmic silhouette. Its lightness makes it easy to rearrange, its stackability simplifies everyday use, and its anti-UV powder-coat finish guarantees perfect wear, season after season.
Adopt this Bridge armchair and let Parisian charm set the tone for your outdoor moments, with that simple feeling of being well, quite naturally.
