Menhir Alessi Italian espresso maker, a sculptural icon for espresso
With Menhir, Michael Anastassiades reimagines the Italian espresso maker as a piece of miniature architecture. Somewhere between a functional object and a contemporary sculpture, it elevates the coffee ritual while making an elegant statement on the countertop or at the center of the table.
A silhouette inspired by menhirs
Ever since Richard Sapper’s legendary 9090, Alessi has invited leading designers to reinvent the espresso coffee maker. For Menhir, Michael Anastassiades drew inspiration from prehistoric standing stones and distilled the lines of the traditional espresso coffee maker to their purest form. The geometric facets, the slanted cut of the body, and the thermoplastic resin handle create a subtle balance between minimalism and monumentality. The polished stainless steel 18/10 reflects light and gives the object an almost sculptural presence.
Designed for everyday use
This induction-compatible Italian espresso maker works on all stovetops thanks to its magnetic base. Its 3-cup size is perfect for sharing a cup of coffee after a meal or enjoying a quiet moment in your daily routine. Made in Italy, it combines durability, high-quality craftsmanship, and ease of use. Its pouring spout ensures precise pouring, while its handle provides a comfortable grip.
The Art of Coffee According to Alessi
In a contemporary kitchen, a minimalist interior, or an elegant dining room, Menhir naturally catches the eye. More than just a coffee maker, it embodies Alessi’s philosophy of transforming everyday objects into timeless creations. Its sleek design complements marble, wood, and stainless steel alike, turning every cup of coffee into a true aesthetic ritual.
Both functional and iconic, this Italian Alessi espresso maker will accompany your coffee breaks for many years to come. A piece designed for design enthusiasts who know that the most beautiful objects make everyday gestures even more special.
