Original Ptolomeo Bookcase - the perfect design illusion
A true icon of contemporary design, the Original Ptolomeo Bookcase stands out for its radical, minimalist aesthetic. Behind its apparent simplicity lies a revolutionary concept: to transform a pile of books into a sculptural, stable and functional object.
Essential design and invisible structure
Conceived in Steel, this freestanding Column erases its presence to highlight what's essential: your books. The volumes are stored horizontally, completely concealing the structure and reinforcing the visual illusion. As the Column fills up, the Shelves disappear, giving the impression that the books seem to stand on their own, in perfect balance. Each model is signed on the Base, a reminder of the international recognition obtained by the Compasso d'Oro.
Functionality and ease of use
Beyond its spectacular effect, theOriginal Ptolomeo is also extremely practical. Its 5 compartments hold around 35 books, which are perfectly stable and easy to remove thanks to the horizontal Storage. Compact in size (H 75 cm), it fits into the smallest of spaces and can support up to 2 kg per shelf. Its solid base ensures impeccable stability, even when fully loaded.
Timeless integration
The Bookcase is equally at home in classic and contemporary interiors. It becomes a powerful decorative element, both discreet in its bulk and bold in its visual impact.
A tribute to Ptolemy, founder of the Library of Alexandria, this creation elevates the book to a work of art. Choosing theOriginal Ptolomeo means inviting into your home a timeless icon, capable of transforming reading into an aesthetic experience.
