Perch Bowl glass brown / 31 x 31 cm

Serax Perch Bowl, a tableware piece that’s part serving dish, part Sculpture

With the Perch bowl, Kelly Wearstler has designed a glass piece for Serax that is as functional as it is decorative. Its 31-cm diameter and 11.5-cm height give it the proportions of a large salad bowl or serving bowl. Perched on the rim, a small glass bird rests as if on a perch, adding a figurative and poetic touch to this expansive silhouette. The bowl is available in an amber version with an amber bird or in a transparent amber version with an amber bird.

An Everyday Scene Transformed into a Collection

The Perch collection was born from a simple observation: a small bird perched on a doorknob. Kelly Wearstler takes this image and adapts it for a series of glass accessories, where the bird perches on vases, bowls, trays, or Carafes. The name “Perch” directly conveys this idea.

This unexpected detail perfectly captures the American designer’s aesthetic, as she loves to play with contrasts between contemporary forms and more expressive references, between sophistication and whimsy.

How can you use the Perch bowl?

With a diameter of 31 cm, the Perch bowl can serve as a Salad bowl, Fruit bowl, or large serving bowl. Its generous size also makes it ideal as a Centrepiece. Outside of mealtimes, it can hold decorative objects or simply be displayed empty; the little bird perched on the rim already gives it a real presence.

Is the Perch bowl suitable for serving food?

Yes. The bowl is food-safe, making it suitable for serving salads, fruit, vegetables, or other dishes meant to be shared. Its size makes it more suitable for group use than as an individual serving bowl.

How do you care for the Perch bowl?

The Perch bowl is dishwasher- and microwave-safe, making it easy to use every day. Made of glass, it combines a truly decorative aesthetic with practical use at the table.

Which finish should you choose?

The amber version features a warm, inviting hue, while the Transparent amber version with an amber bird creates a more striking contrast between the bowl and the small bird perched on its rim.

Part salad bowl, part fruit bowl, and part Centrepiece, Perch deliberately blurs the lines between a functional object and a decorative one. A generous and expressive piece that adds a touch of whimsy to everyday life.
