Care and maintenance. Oiled oak furniture is treated with a colored hardwax oil. This finish gives the furniture its natural color and makes the wood more resistant to stains. However, this finish does not fully protect the wood against stains. It is therefore advisable to clean up any liquid splashes immediately.
