Hound's-tooth Rug: A Timeless Classic with a Bold Twist
The Hound's-tooth Rug reimagines one of the most iconic patterns in the history of fashion and decoration. Designed by COLORTHERAPIS, it combines the timeless elegance of the hound's-tooth pattern with a striking red border that highlights its graphic composition. A distinctive creation that blends heritage and modernity to enhance contemporary interiors.
A Reinvented Graphic Icon
A symbol of refinement for decades, the hound's-tooth pattern is given a decidedly modern interpretation here. Its black, beige, and terracotta design is highlighted by a wide red border that adds depth and rhythm to the composition. This graphic approach is in keeping with COLORTHERAPIS’ creative vision, where influences from the Bauhaus and the Memphis movement meet a bold color palette. Entirely hand-tufted from New-zealand wool, a type of Virgin wool, dyed with plant-based dyes, this rug features a dense texture and a particularly soft feel.
Craftsmanship Designed for Everyday Life
Designed in Paris and then handcrafted by artisans in the Varanasi region, this New-zealand wool rug offers plush comfort and excellent durability. Placed under a coffee table in a living room or under a dining table, it naturally defines spaces while providing a warm, cozy feel underfoot. Available in three sizes, it easily adapts to various interior layouts.
A bold statement for refined decoration
With its balance between textile tradition and contemporary expression, Hound's-tooth fits just as well in a minimalist setting as it does in an eclectic or vintage decoration. Paired with walnut, velvet, marble, or brass, it immediately asserts a room’s personality without compromising its harmony. Its reimagined iconic pattern becomes a true element of interior architecture.
Hound's-tooth is much more than just a designer rug. It is a modern interpretation of a timeless classic that combines craftsmanship, comfort, and elegance. A piece designed to transcend trends while adding character to your home.
