- An icon of Italian design by Gae Aulenti, produced since 1965
- A collector's item, exhibited in major international museums
An iconic table lamp with a sculptural presence
Created in 1965 by Gae Aulenti, the Pipistrello has established itself as a major figure of 20th-century design. Its undulating Lampshade, inspired by the flight of a Mouse, and its Chromed telescopic Base, legs give it a singular, unmistakable silhouette. The Mat Bronze version boasts a subtly metallic finish, both sober and sophisticated, in keeping with the times.
A luminous invention with timeless codes
Born of a visionary gesture, the Pipistrello embodies a break with strict modernism. Its height-adjustable Base, from 66 to 86 cm, makes the lamp as practical as it is elegant. Four LED bulbs E14 diffuse a soft, balanced and generous light, ideal for reading, working or simply enhancing the space.
A signature piece in the world of collectible design
Published by Martinelli Luce from the outset, the Pipistrello is more than a luminaire: it's a milestone of Italian design, celebrated at MoMA, the Centre Pompidou and the Vitra Design Museum. Neoliberty icon Gae Aulenti combines formal freedom and technical precision in a work that is as conceptual as it is functional.
To own the Pipistrello is to bring home a piece of design history. A vibrant, refined, auteur light that transforms every space with a quiet, timeless force.
