The Pleated Kettle combines functionality with fascinating plastic design: like a fabric that a tight fold transforms into a three-dimensional object, this kettle evokes a haute couture dress, a gorgeous object that turns the kitchen shelf into a stage. The Kettle Plissé is a true style icon that adds an unexpected touch of sophistication.
This version features temperature regulation, which extends the range of uses and offers the ideal solution for all those occasions when water doesn't have to be boiling hot. It's ideal for making your favorite tea or infusion at the right temperature, but also for preparing pasta, powdered milk or baby's first meals properly.
This Electric kettle stands on a power base. The digital display and 4 temperature setting buttons are integrated into the base.
The Kettle heats water to the desired temperature and switches off automatically after a few seconds. The button can be used to check the current water temperature at any time.
A safety device interrupts the power supply if the kettle is switched on with insufficient or no water, thus preventing damage to the kettle.
The bottom of the Kettle is thermally insulated, so once the water has reached boiling point, it can be safely placed on any surface.
Inside the Pouring spout is a filter that retains any limescale particles that may have formed inside the Kettle.

Through the skilful and creative use of pleating, designers model fabrics and create garments that resemble sculptures. Plissé is modeled from a sheet of paper and produced by Alessi as a superb haute couture object. The folds give shape to the form, shaping it, structuring it, because a form without folds is only a volume without form. Folds transform simple two-dimensional sheets into three-dimensional objects."
