With Prince OhOh, Philippe Starck continues his exploration of the stool by designing an object that is both functional and sculptural. Its silhouette is formed by a series of stacked levels that gradually taper toward the center before flaring out again. Two stepped pyramidal volumes thus come together to form an instantly recognizable hourglass shape. The horizontal lines create a regular rhythm throughout the height, while the compact design ensures ease of use. Measuring 29.5 x 29.5 cm at the base and 45 cm in height, Prince OhOh makes a statement without taking up too much space.

With Prince OhOh, Philippe Starck transforms the stool into a true piece of miniature architecture. The successive tiers add depth to the material and accentuate the furniture’s geometric construction. The eye follows the different layers down to the central narrowing point, before the volume widens again toward the Base. This interplay of symmetry and repetition gives Prince OhOh an almost monumental dimension despite its small proportions. The silhouette remains clean, bold, and highly graphic, with a design that makes the piece as much a seat as a Decorative object.
