Set of three Christmas baubles in different colours. Notice to all design lovers. These Christmas baubles are designed by the great Milanese architect Alessandro Mendini who, for more than 50 years, has brought a note of fantasy to the world of design. Made from hand-blown glass and decorated by hand, these baubles carry the famous “Proust” motif created in 1976 by Alessandro Mendini and used in particular to decorate his famous Proust armchair in 1978. This nebulous print with its fragmented touches of colour illustrates Mendini's attachment to pointillism. Mendini drew his inspiration from contemporary paintings by Proust: the divisionist painting of Paul Signac which proceeds by strokes, by juxtaposed dotted lines of pure colour. In this way, it’s the eye of the observer that mixes the colours, and not the painter with his palette. The Proust Christmas baubles wonderfully combine design, art and tradition. Each Christmas bauble is carefully created by experienced craftsmen to ensure its artistic quality. Each bauble is unique.
