The Puff lamp collection offers a modern, sculptural take on the traditional rice paper lamp, thanks to a design based on simple, organic lines.
Puff lamps pay homage to one of Asia's oldest traditions: rice paper lampshades have been used for centuries, originally decorating temples. The Puff collection was inspired by a trip to Japan, where designer Saskia Huebner saw countless variations of the rice paper lamp. She then set about finding the right balance between playful sculpturality and functional minimalism, resulting in a collection that invites playful associations of different voluminous shapes. Puff lamps are equally at home in hotel lobbies, restaurants and private homes.
Rice paper can be used to create impressive volume, without the need for superfluous materials, to avoid a product that is too massive or heavy. By delicately concealing the light source, it provides a natural, warm, subdued light. In this way, Puff luminaires pleasantly illuminate the room while enhancing their sculptural, organic forms.
The combination of design and this light material evokes inflated balloons, available in four different shapes and sizes, each luminaire taking its name from its particular shape.
Available as a Pendant and Floor lamp, Bubble has a charming silhouette reminiscent of a cheerful little character.
The Puff collection will find its place in any interior, whatever the space available, in minimalist interiors as well as in bolder commercial or private spaces.
