Since it was patented in 1967, Sammode's Lamp-tube has become a classic of French industrial and architectural lighting. Acclaimed by industrialists, architects and local authorities for its performance and robustness, the Sammode tube lamp has quickly become a cult item. Sammode luminaires are used in many prestigious buildings, including the French National Library in Paris, the Ray and Maria Stata Center designed by Franck Gehry in Cambridge (USA) and the Mama Shelter hotel in Paris, decorated by Philippe Starck. With its raw, industrial style, the Purcell Wall light is characterized by its perfectly functionalist allure, its strictly formal humility. Its transparent polycarbonate tube reveals an internal Reflector made of a multitude of aluminium lamellae. These metallic lamellae soften the light, tinting it with attractive shades of Silver, Copper, Brass or bluish.
Waterproof (IP68), the Purcell Wall light can be used indoors, outdoors and in damp rooms (bathrooms).
