The Edges Tray is part of the Il Tornitore Matto collection, an initiative by Alberto Alessi to promote the artisanal technique of metal turning, emblematic of the Italian company since 1921. This singular series celebrates creative experimentation and formal freedom, placing metal and the artisan's hand at the heart of the design process. Each object becomes a space of expression between art, craft and industry, revealing a unique technical poetry.
Metal Lace by Nika Zupanc
Made from 18/10 Stainless steel, this 32.5 cm-diameter circular Tray features an openwork border reminiscent of a lace braid. This motif - which has become the Slovenian designer's signature - was inspired by a childhood memory: embroidery on her grandmother's blouse. Elegant, evocative and immediately legible, it transforms a simple object into an emotional link with the user.
A refined dual-purpose Accessory
Available in glossy or gold PVD finish, Edges can be used both as a trivet for elegant dinners and as an occasional tray for serving or presentation. Made in Italy at Alessi's Crusinallo di Omegna plant, it combines high aesthetic standards, noble materials and durability.
