A sculptural, futuristic table lamp
Designed by George Sowden, an emblematic figure of postmodern design and co-founder of the Memphis movement, the PL6 lamp blends radical silhouette and technological elegance. Its structure in chromed aluminum and black ABS plays on contrasting materials, capturing the light as a decorative object in its own right. The disc-shaped Aluminium Lampshade completes the futuristic look. The whole is based on a stack of simple volumes that evoke a totemic silhouette, typical of the SOWDEN universe. This Lamp plays with superimposed geometric shapes, creating a strong visual impact and sculptural presence.
Mobile, dimmable lighting
Designed to adapt to all rhythms of life, the PL6 works nomadically thanks to its two 3.7V Li-ion batteries (2600 mAh) rechargeable via USB. Autonomy ranges from 9 to over 36 hours, depending on the intensity selected. It can also be used in fixed mode directly plugged in, even without a battery inserted. The touch-sensitive dimmer on the lamp head lets you choose from three levels of brightness, depending on the mood you want to create.
An expressive piece in any interior
With its compact dimensions (Ø 16 x H 26 cm), the PL6 is equally at home on a table, a contemporary bedside table or a stylish hall console. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use in dry weather, it diffuses a warm light (3000K) of up to 300 lumens, via an integrated, replaceable LED DISC source developed by Sowden.
More than just a lamp, the PL6 is a manifesto between functional art and luminous sculpture. It illuminates spaces as much as it gives them character - with that touch of irony and elegance typical of its creator.
