Card Blanche Teapot - Annebet Philips for Serax
Created from hand-painted cardboard prototypes, the Teapot in the Card Blanche collection embodies the magical moment when a designer's creation takes shape - that moment when, in the throes of inspiration, you cut out your first cardboard models, the blank page, the blank sheet, when everything is still possible. The various pieces in the collection evoke a three-dimensional cartoon, oscillating between humor, poetry and contemporary design. Each creation embodies the joyful freedom of the creative gesture, where intuition takes precedence over perfection.
Annebet Philips is a Dutch designer known for her playful, almost cartoonish visual language, with its signature hand-drawn contour lines. She takes the familiarity of archetypal objects and gives them an unexpected twist. She has already collaborated with international brands such as Tommy Hilfiger. Her work has been exhibited at Milan's Salone del Mobile and London's Mint Gallery.
From Cardboard to Ceramic
Card Blanche pays homage to the spontaneity of first ideas and the raw magic of imperfect models. At the very beginning of a creative process, designers often use Cardboard to quickly shape models. These models express an instinctive impulse, an intuitive energy, which Philips has sought to capture by faithfully transposing these forms to porcelain. By preserving the irregular contours, cut edges and hand-painted lines, the collection preserves the spontaneous character of early prototypes. Cardboard White celebrates that moment when anything is possible: white cardboard, untouched paper, the absolute freedom of the blank page. The collection includes espresso cups, Cappuccino cups, teacups, saucers in various sizes, a milk pot and a teapot.
When sketches become matter
Known for her playful, almost cartoonish visual language, Annebet Philips has created a collection that straddles the border between drawing and reality. Hand-drawn black lines accentuate volumes and retain the spontaneity of the original prototype. With Serax, the designer celebrates the freedom of gesture, the beauty of imperfect lines and the emotion of the first creative impulse.
Function and fantasy
Made in white China, the Card Blanche collection combines solidity and refinement. Dishwasher and microwave-safe, this Teapot combines practicality and graphic elegance, ideal to accompany your moments of relaxation or to complete a complete coffee or tea service.
The Card Blanche spirit
In a minimalist or arty interior, its graphic lines in black & white add a touch of freshness and whimsy. A true piece of character, this Teapot embodies the joy, freedom and poetry of a design that embraces its difference.
Each element of the Card Blanche collection becomes a small, everyday work of art, reminding us that the most beautiful ideas are often born from a simple creative gesture.
