Basket Salvador in Enamelled sandstone - The surrealist spirit according to Wouters & Hendrix
A nod to Salvador Dalí, the Salvador Basket transforms everyday objects into works of art. Sensual, playful and refined, it embodies the singular aesthetic of Belgian duo Wouters & Hendrix, where jewelry becomes an object and the home becomes a gallery.
Home jewelry by Wouters & Hendrix
Since 1984, Le Duo has been hijacking the codes of traditional jewelry to infuse them with fantasy and subversion. With Les Objets Mouleversants, Wouters & Hendrix transpose their symbolic universe to the home: expressive, sculptural handmade objects, conceived as veritable table jewels.
Expressive design and poetic craftsmanship
Handcrafted in Enamelled sandstone, this Basket reveals a visually light, woven structure, enhanced at its center by a luscious mouth. This iconic detail, both irreverent and seductive, pays homage to the surrealist imagination. Shades of Red or White, enhanced by the brilliance of the enamel, reinforce the piece's sensual, artistic aspect.
Everyday use and misappropriated symbolism
Designed to hold fruit, bread or precious objects, the Salvador Basket combines humor and functionality. Its open-work surface allows air to circulate freely, while its Enamelled sandstone construction guarantees sturdiness and easy maintenance. Dishwasher-safe, it is equally at home on the table or console.
A surreal icon and an object of desire, the Salvador Basket brings a touch of refined fantasy to your home. A piece to contemplate as much as to use, between dream and reality.
