Wall mounted candlesticks: A Seashell of Light on the Wall
The Shell wall mounted candlestick by Ferm Living captures the organic softness of a seashell to create a decorative piece that remains light and airy. Crafted from stoneware, it combines an unglazed base with a glazed top surface—a contrast in finishes that highlights the ridges and curves of its silhouette. Measuring 24 L x 28.2 H x 9.5 D cm, it mounts directly on the wall and holds a long candle. Its curved rim forms a beautiful frame around the flame, which highlights the Ceramic’s texture.
An organic FORMA that captures the light
The appeal of Shell lies in the way its shape interacts with the flame. Inspired by a seashell, the candle stick features a ribbed surface that subtly catches the light and creates a play of shadows on the wall. The interplay between matte and glazed areas enhances this visual depth without overwhelming the room. Even when unlit, the candle stick retains a sculptural and decorative presence.
Where should you install wall mounted candlesticks?
Shell can be installed near a bedside table, in a dining room, or in a hallway. Its wall-mounted design adds a decorative light source without taking up space on a piece of furniture. In a bedroom, it can complement a nightstand. In a living area, it fits easily into a display with other wall-mounted objects or on its own on a section of wall.
What kind of candle should you use with the Shell candle stick?
The Shell candle stick is designed to hold a long candle, not included. Its curved base keeps the candle centered and allows the flame to stand out visually against the Ceramic.
What precautions should you take when using it?
Be sure to extinguish the candle before it reaches the bottom of the stand, and never leave a lit candle unattended. Marks and variations may also appear over time due to the natural nature of the material.
Shell transforms a simple gesture into a true wall-mounted scene. The flame highlights its curves, brings its reliefs to life, and lends the wall a soft, almost mineral-like presence.
