With the Silos plates (Ø 28 cm), Plan C takes the collection’s geometric design a step further. Their round shape features an interior surface cut into slanted panels and facets that create a striking sense of depth. Offered in sets of 2, they come in two variations— Silos 02 and Silos 03—each with a different pattern of folds. Crafted from white China, they add dimension to the table without relying on color.

Plan C: From Fashion to Product Design

Behind Plan C is Carolina Castiglioni, daughter of Consuelo and Gianni Castiglioni, founders of Marni. After working for many years within this family-run creative world, she launched her own label in 2018. Her collections stand out for their bold shapes, unexpected color combinations, and often playful approach. A great lover of vintage design, she channeled this sensibility into her first design collection, developed with Serax in 2025.

Silos: Industrial Architecture as Inspiration

The Silos collection draws inspiration from industrial silos and their functional geometry. Plan C takes this architectural vocabulary—composed of simple volumes, sloping planes, and clean lines—and translates it into household objects. The collection maintains a certain rigor, but Carolina Castiglioni’s approach introduces greater freedom and character.

On these plates, this principle is directly expressed in the China. The varying angles create areas of light and shadow that reveal the relief as you change your perspective. The surface appears almost constructed rather than simply molded.

What is the difference between Silos 02 and Silos 03?

Both versions measure 28 cm in diameter, but their interior designs differ. The folds and the arrangement of the facets are not identical, giving each model its own unique character. Combining them on the same table creates rhythm while maintaining a sense of unity in material and color.

What is a 28-cm plate suitable for?

With its 28-cm diameter, this plate is particularly well-suited for main courses, large appetizers, or more generous servings. Its size offers more space to structure the presentation, while the interior reliefs add an extra graphic dimension.
