Skygarden 1 Pendant metal stone black / Ø 60 cm - Plaster & Aluminium

Created by iconic Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, the Skygarden pendant light was elevated to the ranking of design star when it was presented at the Milan Show in 2007. This masterpiece reveals a world of extreme elegance, hidden underneath a significantly reserved exterior… A connection between past and present, subtly blending baroque and modern styles, Skygarden is based on a subtly double play on sophistication and sobriety. Simple and sleek, the aluminium dome covers a meticulous decorative layer of white plaster, moulded with floral garlands. From the meeting of this minimalist bell jar and these neo-baroque decorations, a surprising yet delicate harmony is created. The internal diffuser is made with opalescent glass and is covered with a fine baroque lace made with steel. To create this extraordinary pendant light, fanciful designer Marcel Wanders was inspired by the friezes that adorned the ceilings of his childhood home, on which he loved to watch the plays of light… Skygarden provides diffuse and consistent light without dazzling. This pendant light can therefore easily be placed over of a table without dazzling guests… The polycarbonate ceiling fitting is painted in the same colour as the dome.
