Sophia Blue Vase: the beauty of spontaneous gesture
The Sophia Blue vase by Serax embodies the creative freedom of Marie Michielssen, a designer renowned for her intuitive, poetic approach to materials. Each Vase is a unique piece, shaped and painted by hand, where imperfection becomes an aesthetic language. This craftsmanship captures the essence of contemporary design, a balance between authenticity, movement and emotion.
A pictorial design between gesture and material
Shaped in cream-white glazed stoneware, the Sophia Blue vase is distinguished by its slightly twisted shapes and gestural Cobalt blue decoration. Brushstrokes applied freehand recall the spontaneity of calligraphy. Every trace and nuance reveals the artist's hand and a soothing graphic presence.
A functional and expressive piece
Perfect as a decorative vase or sculpture, Sophia Blue combines artistry and practicality. Its balanced proportions and generous volume welcome Natural bouquets, while its glazed texture gently reflects light.
An artistic accent for any interior
Displayed on its own on a console, grouped in a triptych or combined with other Serax pieces, the Sophia Blue Vase blends into contemporary and wabi-sabi interiors. It expresses a free aesthetic between pictorial gesture and craftsmanship, and stands out as a work of character at the heart of the home.
More than just a decorative object, the Sophia Blue Vase celebrates the beauty of handmade and the power of simplicity. Compose your own duo or trio with the three sizes available to create an expressive and personal scene. Let the depth of Cobalt blue interact with the light and give your interior an artistic breath of fresh air.
