Description
De-constructed image... A very strong visual impact for this troubling and fascinating mirror from the Italian designer, Giampero Romano. This mirror features a classic shape interrupted by an offset strip: the central part seems to have been pushed as if by magic. This asymmetrical and quirky position opens a dreamlike window into another dimension. The Tetris mirror has a dual personality, presenting an offset between its eccentric cut-out and the extremely classic style of its moulded gold frame. The other particularity of this mirror is the use of a surprising material. The frame appears to be made from wood: in reality, it's made with expanded polyurethane. This lightweight plastic material perfectly imitates wood.
