Tolomeo Micro Desk lamp by Artemide, the absolute icon of functional design
Created in 1987 by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina, the Tolomeo Micro lamp is one of the most influential lights of contemporary design. A veritable manifesto of elegant functionality, it reinvents the classic Desk lamp by combining precision engineering, minimalist aesthetics and Italian manufacturing quality.
Signature technical architecture
The Tolomeo Micro Lamp captivates with its clear, perfectly balanced design. Its articulated aluminum arm structure, combined with Stainless steel tension cables, reveals an assertive technical aesthetic reminiscent of the world of engineering. The visible joints and the swivel head in deep-drawn Aluminium create a graphic silhouette that has become emblematic. This minimalist visual language is fully in keeping with the tradition of Italian industrial design.
Lighting precision for everyday use
Designed to accompany work and reading, the Tolomeo Desk lamp offers great freedom of movement. Its springs-based balancing system ensures remarkable stability while allowing precise height and tilt adjustment. The adjustable head diffuses an even, comfortable light ideal for a Desk, study area or reading table.
A cult piece in the Artemide universe
Manufactured in Italy by Artemide, the Tolomeo Micro Lamp belongs to one of design's most famous lighting families. Available in a wide range of finishes and in the new Color Matte shades such as Klein blue, green and lilac, it is equally at home in a minimalist interior or a creative Desk. Its balance of visible technology and formal elegance makes it an essential part of the design landscape.
Choosing the Tolomeo Micro Lamp means adopting an object where mechanical precision becomes functional beauty. On an architect's desk, a console or a bookcase, it provides a discreet, intelligent and timeless luminous presence.
