Alessi collaborates with the most avant-garde designers. With the Toru collection, Alessi reaffirms its expertise in Stainless steel by teaming up with Japanese design studio Nendo, renowned for its minimalist, conceptual approach.
The Toru collection of small appliances is the perfect embodiment of Nendo's signature blend of elegance and irony. Inspired by the Japanese word "Toru", meaning "through", each piece in the collection features tubular black handles that seem to cut through the stainless steel volumes. These elements serve as both Pouring spouts and Handles, creating a subtle and ingenious interaction with the steel material.
The clean lines and formal simplicity of Toru appliances soften the rigor of Steel while retaining an aura of refinement. The irony is in the composition, playing with volumes, while the choice of noble materials guarantees durability and authenticity, intrinsic characteristics of Alessi creations.
Each piece, with its minimalist yet sophisticated design, is a work of art that blends harmoniously into any domestic landscape. Perfect for design enthusiasts who appreciate the union between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary innovation, Toru is a collection that reinvents the standards of high-end home appliances.
