The Two-Layer Pendant is a modern reinterpretation of Nordic design and the art of blown glass. Its glass Lampshade is delicately mouth-blown. The wavy glass is criss-crossed with hollows and bulges, creating unique optical effects from different angles. The double-jacketed Lampshade features two interlocking glass volumes for a striking visual effect: on the outside, transparent glass, on the inside, frosted matte glass. These finishes play with light, adding depth and elegance to your space.
Inspired by Scandinavian lighting principles, where each light source serves a specific function, the Pendant Two-Layer cleverly combines two types of lighting in one refined piece. The functional light, directed downwards, precisely illuminates a table or work top, while the ambient diffused light envelops the room in a comforting softness, perfect for creating warm, welcoming atmospheres.
The perforated steel Grill in the Lampshade and the colored frame and Cable modernize the silhouette.
Designed by the talented Thomas Bentzen, former Design Director at Muuto, this Pendant embodies simplicity, sophistication and modernity. True to Danish tradition, Bentzen combines knowledge of materials, artisanal expertise and rational industrial production to create objects that are both beautiful and functional. Each piece, made from mouth-blown glass, highlights the unique character of the material and its small imperfections, making each lamp truly singular.
