Description
New Antic: Italian designer Uto Balmoral breathes new life into antiquity with this pop and completely off-the-wall reinterpretation of an ancient bust. Far from the solemnity of classical statues, this youthful Adonis seems surprised himself by the pink bubble of chewing gum coming out of his mouth! In this version, the white bust is adorned with a blue, cloud-like pattern, as if spray-painted.
The maverick Uto Balmoral appropriates fragments of classical antiquity and connects them to the present in a playful and surreal way. He subverts the cultural heritage of antiquity with provocation and mischief. The resin perfectly mimics white marble. The pink glass bubble of chewing gum serves as a diffuser: the LED bulb placed inside emits a warm light.
This sculptural object, straddling the line between art and design, creates a dreamlike and extravagant world that is at once provocative, funny, and absurd. It reflects the dark humor of Uto Balmoral, for whom objects must have character and elicit astonishment, even if it means causing a stir. The Wonder lamp adds an uninhibited, eccentric, and arty touch to your decoration. This sculptural piece takes center stage in our interiors, serving as both a decorative element and a light source.
PLEASE NOTE. This lamp comes with a pink bulb included. Replacement bulbs are sold separately on our website.
PLEASE NOTE. There is a dark shadow at the tip of the pink bulb. This darker area is not a defect: this effect was intentionally created by the designer to mimic the inside of an inflated balloon.
