The 780 Coffee table collection was designed in 1966 by Gianfranco Frattini (1926 - 2004). The renowned Italian designer left an indelible mark on modern Italian design during his 50-year career, demonstrating a passion for materials, an eye for functional detail and a deep appreciation of craft and construction methods.
The 780 Coffee tables are emblematic of Italian design in the 1960s, an era strongly oriented towards optimism and experimental research with a view to absolute functionality. This set of four stackable Coffee tables saves space when stacked, making them suitable for any living room, from the largest to the smallest. When the four tables are stacked, they form a superb cylinder of asymmetrically patterned wood. The sculptural effect of this unique, compact shape is reminiscent of a drum.
In addition to being stackable, these wooden tables feature reversible colored Formica tops: one black side and one white side. So you can change the color of the Tray to suit your mood.
All four tables have the same diameter (Ø 42 cm), but differ in height from 25 to 38.5 cm. When placed side by side, the Trays overlap, forming a graphic composition.
