Description
Its rock-solid solidity and refined aesthetic have given it a prestigious and successful career. It was first seen on many a Coffee terrace, then in private homes.
Its designer, Xavier Pauchard, used pressed sheet metal and zinc for the first time in mass-produced furniture. The Tolix chair thus became the first French industrial chair. For almost a century, every A56 Armchair that leaves the TOLIX workshops has been handcrafted by craftsmen who have passed on to each other their traditional skills in stamping, bending, brazing and polishing. Each armchair that leaves the workshops is therefore unique, and bears the Tolix signature stamped into the metal. In 2006, Tolix was awarded the "Living Heritage Company" label by the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry.
Stackable, this armchair is the perfect answer to the need for rational use of space.
