Description
Why choose Alu Stool?
- A stool that's light, strong and built to last
- A design by the renowned Muller Van Severen
- A colorful seat that transforms the ambience of a space
- Versatile use, indoors or out
Rigorous lines and vibrant colors
Created in collaboration with the architectural firm BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group), the Alu Stool takes up the geometric aesthetic of the famous Alu Chair. Its raw aluminum structure, with its sober, strict lines, contrasts with a high-gloss lacquered seat, available in raw aluminum, green, ivory or pink. The result is a minimalist yet vibrant Stool, true to Muller Van Severen's visual signature.
Color as a design material
The Belgian duo have always considered color as a raw material in its own right. Whereas their first models used Polythene, which was limited in hues, the powder coating applied to the seat now enables them to draw on an infinite number of nuances. This approach opens the way to daring compositions: by mixing Stools and Alu seats, everyone can create a veritable chromatic landscape, from the most playful to the most sophisticated.
Signature, versatile furniture
Lightweight, compact (35 x 35 cm, H 45 cm) and UV-resistant, the Alu Stool adapts to any situation. It can be used as a seat around a garden table, as an occasional seat in a living room or as a small table in a contemporary bathroom. This versatility, combined with Muller Van Severen's creative strength, makes it a must-have in today's design world.
Muller Van Severen, a major signature of contemporary design
Founded in 2011 by Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen, the studio is rapidly establishing itself as one of the most influential of its generation. Their furniture, at the frontier between art and design, is exhibited in leading institutions (Centre Pompidou, Vitra Design Museum...) and collected worldwide. Winners of numerous awards, their unique visual language combines architectural rigor, bold color palettes and a formal simplicity that transcends the everyday.
With the Alu Stool, you invite into your home the universe of two world-renowned designers, who transform color into material and furniture into a true aesthetic experience.
