With the Cameo In&Out collection, Maurice Harris has designed vases for Serax featuring a highly distinctive graphic style. The designer reinterprets the historical concept of the cameo—traditionally based on a profile portrait—to integrate it directly into the Vase’s form. Depending on the model, the face appears in relief or recessed. The name “In&Out” specifically refers to this interplay between positive and negative forms.
Available in two shapes and two colors—Amber and Pink—the collection allows for experimentation with volumes and color combinations while maintaining a shared visual identity.

Maurice Harris draws on several sources of inspiration to create this collection. He incorporates the stylistic elements of Western cameos, enriching them with motifs inspired by Kente Textiles and his own silhouette. The face thus becomes an integral part of the design. Crafted from mouth blown borosilicate glass, the Cameo In&Out vases feature very different silhouettes depending on the model. Some feature a flared opening and vertical reliefs.
