Description
A true design icon, the famous Componibili now comes with new matt finishes which bring a contemporary, refined dimension to this great classic. Matt white or matt black: these satin, velvety colours are deep and elegant. In 1968, designer Anna Castelli Ferreri, wife of Kartell’s founder, created the famous Componibili. This moulded plastic cylinder with its understated and functional lines is a symbol of the revolution in design that occurred in the 1960's. Pop, democratic, accessible, daring, practical, modular: this little piece of furniture fully meets the needs of the new society that was emerging. The Componibili was soon a success thanks to its extreme functionality. Compact and versatile, it fits into any room in the house, on the floor or placed on a piece of furniture. It fulfils several functions: night table in a bedroom, side table in a living room, small storage space in the bathroom or kitchen, stool if needed ... Produced for nearly half a century, the Componibili has emerged over the decades as a true design classic. It has won many prizes and has been exhibited at Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
