Designed by Dino Gavina and produced by Studio Simon in 1971, the ''Constantin'' Side table is part of the Ultramobile collection, which pays tribute to the works of artists such as Man Ray, Marcel Duchamp, Giacomo Balla, Andy Warhol and Constantin Brancusi.

It was in 1971 that Italian designer Dino Gavina came up with the concept of the "functional work of art", inaugurating a new furnishing concept aimed at adapting the surrealist object to everyday use. An opportunity for Dino Gavina, an incurable philanthropist, to showcase his famous friendships. This is how the Ultramobile collection was born: furniture nourished by the imagination of renowned artists, combining rational intelligence and wonder, interacting geometry and fantasy. Orchestrating mass production behind the scenes, as he had done since his meeting with Marcel Breuer, Dino Gavina demonstrates the cultural and aesthetic potential of industry.

A tribute to the work of Constantin Brancusi, this boldly sculptural side table combines two elements from the Romanian sculptor's world into a perfect whole: a circular brass plate and a round solid oak structure. The undulating lines of the Base give a sense of movement and continuity.
