Hang it all Wall coat rack metal wood black / Eames (1953)

Enter into the legend of design with the Hang It All coat rack, designed in 1953 by Charles and Ray Eames. Treat yourself to an ORIGINAL iconic piece by Vitra. An original always keeps its value. An imitation is, and always will be, a cheap copy, a stolen idea. The difference is found in the quality and the obvious variations from the original model, but also in the emotional side of the authentic product. An original will stay with you for your whole life and will outlive you, being passed on to the next generation. Charles and Ray Eames are two of the most important designers of the 20th century. Their work includes furniture design, film and photography as well as exhibition design. Vitra is the only company with the authorisation to manufacture their products for Europe: if you own an Eames product manufactured by Vitra, you can be sure that it is an original. Copied, imitated but never duplicated, the Hang It All coat rack is a must have from the 1950s. There is an innate sense of humour in the work of Charles and Ray Eames that is reflected in the Hang It All. This coat rack decorated with coloured balls was originally intended for pre-schools. It encourages toddlers to hang up all their belongings, and choose a colour to pick their peg. As well as being functional, it is also a social and playful object to learn through playing. Its 14 hooks can be used to hang coats, jackets, hats, scarves, hats, umbrellas, gloves... even towels in a bathroom. Wall-mounted and space-saving, it an easy addition to any room or small transitional space, hallway or entrance. Its welded and epoxy-lacquered steel frame is manufactured using the same technology that was developed for some of the Eames' chairs. The distance between each ball is always the same, so you can install several coat racks side by side and extend your structure for as long as you want. The original multi-coloured version has now been enriched with never before seen harmonies. This keeps it on top of the trends. Ray Eames was the one who came up with the colour scheme for the Hang It All. On its 100th anniversary in December 2012, Vitra worked together with the Eames Office to develop three versions of the coat rack in the luminous shades red, green and white.
