TALA Kilter Long LED Wall light: a large-format light fixture

With the Kilter Long LED, TALA reimagines the linear wall light in a particularly minimalist architectural style. The design remains deliberately simple and graphic: a frosted glass light tube attaches to a round, swiveling wall mount. This swivel mechanism allows the light to be directed vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, depending on the desired effect. In its 64 cm L version, Kilter makes a bolder statement on the wall and is particularly well-suited for wide mirrors, large wall surfaces, or arrangements that call for a more generous light line.

A line of light that defines the wall

With its 64-cm tube, Kilter transcends the simple function of lighting to become a true architectural element. The S14d light source is intentionally left visible and plays a full role in the fixture’s design. Frosted Glass subtly reveals the internal filament when the light is on while maintaining a soft, even glow.

The included LED tube delivers 375 lm at 6 W, with a color temperature of 2700 K and a CRI of 95 Ra. It is dimmable from 0 to 100%, allowing you to adjust the light intensity according to the time of day and intended use.

Where should you install the Kilter Long wall light?

The 64-cm length is particularly well-suited for large bathroom mirrors, where Kilter can be installed horizontally above the mirror or vertically on one of its sides. Its swivel base also allows it to be tilted to create a more graphic effect.

In a hallway, entryway, or living room, this long version helps further highlight the wall’s architecture. Kilter can also be installed outdoors—for example, under a porch or on a building facade—as long as the installation complies with the requirements of its protection rating.

What does the IP44 rating for the Kilter wall light mean?

The IP44 rating means that Kilter is protected against solid objects larger than 1 mm and against water splashes from all directions. It is therefore suitable for humid environments and can be installed in zones 1 and 2 of a bathroom, in accordance with the specified installation requirements.

Kilter is also suitable for outdoor use. It can be mounted on a facade, near an entrance, or under a porch. However, the IP44 rating does not provide protection against submersion or powerful water jets.

What’s included with the Kilter Long wall light?

The Kilter wall light consists of a metal wall base and a frosted glass light tube measuring 64 cm in length, included. The tube clips into the wall base, which swivels to allow for vertical, horizontal, or angled installation. The light fixture is therefore delivered with its light source.

Which light tube should be used with the Kilter wall light?

The Kilter must be used with the TALA LED tube specifically designed for this fixture. The tube provided is an S14d T30 Frosted Glass bulb. It is replaceable, but TALA specifies that no alternative bulbs should be used.

Replacement TALA tubes are sold separately on the website and come in two lengths—50 cm and 64 cm—corresponding to the two sizes of the Kilter wall light. For this “Long” version, you must use the 64 cm tube.

Which finish and length should you choose?

Kilter is available in several metal finishes for the wall base, including brushed steel, polished steel, and polished brass, paired with a frosted glass tube. The finish you choose allows you to create a look that is more understated, more brilliant, or warmer.

Two lengths are available: 50 cm and 64 cm. The 50-cm version is well-suited for more compact spaces and mirrors of medium width. At 64 cm, Kilter Long creates a more expansive line of light and makes a stronger statement in large bathrooms or on larger walls.

With its elongated shape, Kilter Long transforms light into a true architectural line. Precisely oriented, it can frame a large Mirror, highlight a wall, or complement a facade with a graphic presence that is just as distinct when turned off as when turned on.
