A totemic silhouette in a compact form... The Massif Stool from &tradition has a striking aesthetic and graphic elegance. This swivel Bar stool is made up of two visually distinct parts, creating a striking contrast between lightness and massiveness. The contrast is accentuated by the use of two different materials: Wood for the seat and Steel for the Footrest.
The Solid oak top features a slender Column topped by a round seat. The upper part seems to levitate.
The lower footrest is a heavy, stable base in Thermolacquered steel. Like a ship's anchor, the base anchors the Stool to the ground with great stability.
Column and base are linked by an ultra-sturdy steel swivel mechanism.
Norwegian studio designers Anderssen & Voll: "The initial idea for Massif came from a search for new, strong forms, while ensuring that the seat and Footrest were represented in equal measure. A large disc serves as a support for the feet - it's as if we'd lifted part of the floor and put it on four legs''.
The Massif High stool is available in seat heights of 65 and 75 cm and in a range of finishes. The Massif High stool can be used in both casual dining rooms and professional spaces. The intuitive design of the Massif Stool allows users to comfortably adapt to the height of a typical kitchen island, restaurant, hotel or bar counter, while feeling firmly anchored to the floor.
