An original reinterpretation of the iconic Lamp designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965, this Mat white edition reveals a powdery, almost mineral texture that plays subtly with the light. The painted cone and Satin-finished methacrylate diffuser create an ensemble that's as soft to the eye as it is to the touch. A visionary birth in design history

In Italy in the 60s, Gae Aulenti broke with rigid modernism to create a lamp with organic, almost animated forms. She designed a lampshade with undulating curves, inspired by the flight of a bat, and imagined a telescopic Base, unprecedented at the time. After two years of technical development, Elio Martinelli, founder of Martinelli Luce, took up the challenge. Released in 1967, the Pipistrello became a manifesto of formal freedom and industrial prowess.
