A Solid wood Stool of sculptural elegance

Designed in 1960 for the Rockefeller Center in New York, the Stools stool embodies the formal mastery and refined whimsy of Charles & Ray Eames. Reissued by Vitra, this original Solid wood model captivates with its generous volumes, lathe-sculpted profiles and functional sculptural allure.

A work of interior design

Commissioned to furnish the halls of the Time & Life Building, the Stools were inspired by an African stool found in the living room of the Eames House. Each shape - A, B or C - reveals a unique profile, conceived by Ray Eames as a decorative object as much as a practical one. Made in Dark walnut or Light chestnut, they feature a hard-wax-oiled finish, with a velvety feel and a natural matte appearance.

A modular, iconic piece of furniture

Perfectly balanced, the Stools can be used as an occasional seat, as the end of a sofa or as a base for a beautiful object. Its stable silhouette and generous diameter ensure practical everyday use, in a living room, hallway or bedroom. Designed to last, it resists the effects of fashion and crosses generations with the same elegance.

A sculptural accent for any interior

On its own or in a composition, Stools is an eye-catcher. It's equally at home in a minimalist interior as in a vintage or arty setting. Next to an iconic armchair, on a graphic Rug or next to a Walnut Bookcase, it imposes its presence with finesse. Its organic style echoes current trends in sculptural design and raw materials.

With the Stools, you're inviting a timeless, functional and sensitive work of art into your home. A rare piece, designed for aesthetes, that enhances space without ever cluttering it.
