Treat yourself to an ORIGINAL iconic piece by Vitra. An original will always retain its value. It will stay with you for your whole life and outlast you, to be passed on to the next generation. Swiss design house Vitra is the only company authorised to manufacture Charles & Ray Eames products for Europe: if you own an Eames product manufactured by Vitra, you can be sure it’s an original. Charles and Ray Eames are two of the most important designers of the 20th century. Their work includes furniture design, film and photography as well as exhibition design. Designed in 1969, the Soft Pad Chair Group is one of the great classics of 20th-century design history. The sewn upholstery cushions provide an interesting contrast to the thin aluminium profiles. The tilt mechanism, adjustable according to the user's weight, offers great comfort, in combination with the thick, soft padding. The seat adapts to the body’s contours and is extremely comfortable. Vitra has been producing Soft Pad Chairs in unchanged high quality for decades. This quality allows the manufacturer to offer a thirty-year warranty on all products in the Soft Pad range (register your product on the special website to benefit from the extended warranty). The EA 222 model is a swivel armchair with a high back and low seat. The Soft Pad Chair EA 222 is equipped with a tilt mechanism that can be adapted to the user's weight, thus providing optimal comfort. The matching EA 223 footstool complements the armchair wonderfully. Combined, EA 222 and EA 223 form the perfect couple for long, comfortable evenings in the company of a good book. Comes in a multitude of colours: please ask us.
