Treat yourself to an iconic ORIGINAL by Vitra. An original will always retain its value. It will be with you all your life and will outlive you, being passed on to the next generation. The Swiss company Vitra is the only company authorized to manufacture Charles & Ray Eames products for Europe: if you are in possession of an Eames product made by Vitra, you can be sure that it is an original.
Charles & Ray Eames are among the most important design personalities of the 20th century. Launched in 1948, their iconic Shell Flesh chairs are among the most important creations in furniture history. In the 1950s, Charles and Ray began experimenting with bent and welded wire. With the Wire Flesh, they used steel wire to reproduce the organically shaped seat shell of their Eames Plastic Side Flesh. In this wire version, the steel wire technique is entirely at the service of transparency and lightness.
High stools from the Shell Chairs family are ideal for kitchen counters or high tables.
The Chromed steel version is for indoor use only. The Epoxy lacquered steel finish is also suitable for temporary or seasonal outdoor use (after prolonged exposure to the elements, clean and store in a sheltered, dry place to ensure long-lasting use and avoid any apparent deterioration).
Due to the high quality of Vitra originals, the manufacturer offers a 10-year warranty (register your product on the dedicated website to benefit from the extended warranty).
