A pioneering creation, born in 1958

The Aluminium Flesh was designed for the private residence of an art collector in Columbus, Indiana. Charles & Ray Eames broke away from the rigid shell to imagine a seat that was both supple and firm, obtained by tensioning a fabric or leather board between two aluminum side mountings. This unique construction gives the Armchair an airy elegance and Natural comfort.

Ergonomics designed for everyday use

EA 108 features a swivel seat, mid-high backrest and 4-branch Legs for excellent stability. Die-cast aluminium with an epoxy finish ensures visual strength and lightness. The stretched Board follows the contours of the body for optimum support, without the need for thick padding. An effective classic for everyday use.
